Gramday for iPhone · Last updated 6 October 2026
Short version: Gramday has no account and no server that holds your records. Your doses, weight, side effects, meals, water and notes stay on your iPhone. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you log in Gramday is stored only on your iPhone: your medicine and doses, side effects, weight, meals and meal photos, water, notes, reminders and settings. We do not receive this information and cannot see it.
What leaves your iPhone
Only four things are sent to other services, and only for the reason given. None of them includes your name, email, doses, weight, side effects or notes.
| What is sent | To whom | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A meal photo, only when you choose to scan a meal. The app makes the photo smaller first. | Google (Gemini, through Firebase) | To estimate the food and protein. The photo travels with a fixed instruction. Google may keep requests for a limited time to detect abuse. The estimate is labelled "≈" and you can change it. |
| A barcode number, only when you scan a product. | Open Food Facts (a public food database) | To look up the product's nutrition. |
| Your subscription record: trial, renewal and expiry, tied to a random ID. | Apple and RevenueCat | To know whether your plan is active. Apple takes the payment. RevenueCat does not receive your name or email, and it never sees your health log. |
| A device check (a token, not your data). | Google (Firebase App Check) | To confirm that requests come from the real Gramday app. |
These services have their own privacy policies. We send them only what is listed above, and we do not share your information for advertising.
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number.
- No location, contacts or browsing history.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or advertising tools in the app.
- No tracking across other apps or websites, and no advertising identifier.
Reminders and widgets
Reminders are created on your iPhone and are not sent through our servers. Reminder text and widgets never show your medicine's name, your dose or your weight.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Export: in Settings, tap Export to save a copy of your log somewhere safe, such as Files.
- Delete: in Settings, tap Delete all data to erase everything from your iPhone. Deleting the app also erases it.
- An iPhone backup may include a copy of your data. Don't rely on a backup as your only copy; use Export.
Because we hold none of your health records, there is nothing for us to look up or delete on our side. If you want to ask about subscription records, write to us (see Contact).
Who it is for
Gramday is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Not medical advice
Gramday records what you tell it. It does not give medical advice, diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not change your medicine. Follow your prescriber's and the medicine leaflet's instructions. If a symptom is severe or worrying, contact your clinician or emergency services.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and describe the change in the app's update notes when it affects what leaves your iPhone.
